Product Description Stitches galore emblazon these ergonomically crafted dress casual shoes from Clarks of England. Made from a top-grain leather upper with a buffed, no fuss finish, the shoes are lightweight, roomy, and designed for all-over comfort and durability--from the Othrolite Cushion footbed and breathable mesh liner, to the rugged, shock-absorbing polyurethane outsole and angle stitch construction. The split vamp with contrast stitching and underlay to the tongue, along with the wave sole pattern, and the Clark logo stamped at the heel combine to make the Touareg one sharp shoe. Well Constructed and Very Comfortable July 28, 2008 Insectophile 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are the most comfortable shoes of this type I have ever worn and they appear to be very well constructed. I am extremely pleased with them so far. The shoes have an attractive burnished finish which I fear may disappear if polished. Indeed, one reviewer stated that the look of his shoes were ruined after a polishing. I will use caution when and if I ever polish them.
Excelent Design and confort June 20, 2008 JuanF (Lima Peru) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love my clarks , they are very confortable, until now I havent wore a shoe with this amount of confort plus they look great . I hope they last forever, anyway I woud buy another pair right away. Excellent shoes!!!!
Gorgeous, but unfortunately not comfy at all. October 18, 2007 M. Snyder (Atlanta, GA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved these shoes at first. They're very handsome, and well-made (true to Clarks history of high quality). Swapping the insole with my custom orthotics was extremely easy. However, I found there wasn't enough of a firm sole to support the orthotics. I teach, and after just a couple of hours of standing/walking, my feet ached tremendously. Unfortunately I had to return the shoes. I found they run true to size legth-wise, and were actually a tad wider than similar D-width shoes.
These shoes are not a bargin May 13, 2007 James D. Graham (Monroe, LA.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these lovely shoes and was thrilled when they came in. They fit great and are very comfortable, but the first time I polished them the brown color came right off and I was left with freaky looking shoes that I can't wearWhat a rip off!. I would not advise any to purchase these shoes, unless you never plan to polish them. I hope I can have someone dye them for me.
Well made--so why not make it comfy? April 7, 2007 stonehenge7 (Simi Valley, CA. United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a shoe with very good quality and workmanship. If you take a look at all the stitching that goes into making this shoe you can see that these probably take a bit of work to make. My question then is why would any well-known shoe company make a shoe like the Touareg and then not worry about comfort? The soles are thin and flat with little cushion. All you get is a fancy looking (but thin and flat) removable liner inside. There is no arch support and very little between your hard-working feet and the ground. I find it very strange that these are made so well in some ways and so thoughtlessly in others. Close to 2-stars but will give 'em 3 for the workmanship.
