If you are losing teeth to gum disease, read this: February 2, 2008 MsKyle (Saint. Louis, MO) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Funny, I have been using this floss for months, and I've never noticed a problem with flaking waxy ash. I've lost teeth to gum disease and have tried every floss out there. THIS IS THE ONE. It is the only floss I have found that cleans off plaque without shredding. Not only that, it tastes good. I have trouble finding it in the stores, so I'm ordering it by the six-pack here at Amazon.com. And while I'm at it, here are a few more tips I've learned that have brought my tooth loss to a halt and stopped gum disease: 1) White Listerine 2) Sonicare toothbrush 3) night guard to prevent cracking from clenching and grinding (Many people do this without realizing it.) 4) more frequent teeth cleaning by the dental hygienist. This is my first review ever and nobody paid me to say this! I'm just sharing the help I could have used several years ago.
Sure - if you like flakes of minty waxy ashes all over your fingers December 4, 2006 Lum7777 (Bay Area) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
So I bought this because with a name like "Easyslide Pro", it should be the type of dental floss that glides smoothly without that annoying fraying that happens with many other flosses. Well, I was right - it doesn't fray. But it makes a mess!! Even as you pull the floss out of the dispenser, flakes of minty ash get all over your fingers. And as you wrap the ends of the floss around your fingers in preparation for flossing, the waxy minty ash smears all over your fingers. When you look closely at the floss, you'll notice that alot of the mint coating has come off the floss and is now all over you. Worse yet, as you start flossing, the minty wax comes off in your mouth. The taste is not bad, but it's a pretty generous amount that flakes off. Sometimes, the wax even gets stuck between your teeth - which....kinda defeats the purpose of flossing. I gave it a generous 2 stars because it kinda serves it's purpose of getting big chunks of food out from between your teeth. Plus, it does glide without fraying. But honestly, I do not recommend this product. I wanted to write to Johnson & Johnson directly, but couldn't find out how. So I figured I would warn the public because the truth must be heard.
