 Very bright, but some poor contacts January 6, 2009

Shipping was very quick..good job Buy.com! The Denali LED's are very bright (much more than some of my larger flashlights), but the contacts on one unit works only 1/2 the time and I must "play with it" to get it to work. The durability of the cases are great and I look forward to using them camping this summer. Easy to store in the glove box of the vehicle since space is limited. Good buy for the money.

First of all, you get what you pay for. If you want a quality LED flashlight, you should buy a brand name. I thought these junky made in China lights would be good stocking stuffers. I had to take them all apart and make adjustments to get them to work. Finally, one of them would not work at all. Sending it back to Amazon.
Buyer beware: inconsistent quality December 27, 2008

I purchased two sets of these. First set, one of the lights had some external damage but all of the lights worked. Second set, only 2 of 3 lights is functional. I now have a spare battery pack and screw-end, but the light unit on the third is nonfunctional. Not bad for the sale price, but having counted on SIX lights as gifts I was extremely disappointed to only have FIVE functional ones. Based on a sampling of the other reviews, this is par for Denali and I should be grateful to get that many to work. However, the functional lights are awesome: extremely bright, handy, lightweight but bulky enough to fit in a mittened hand.

I bought 2 sets of these flashlights for my nieces and nephews for Christmas. Out of the first set, one did not work at all, and the other 2 were so dim as to be useless. If I shook and jiggled one of them, it worked intermittently. The second set worked fine.

I received three flashlights and they all worked perfectly. Would buy these again and might buy another three.
The construction is good and they function very well.
