| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description From the creators of Dominant strings comes a breakthrough. Thomastik Infeld strings are relatively insensitive to humidity changes, break in quickly, and have relatively low tension. A new, synthetic composite core gives these strings a full sound and a longer life span than other synthetic strings, and are reponsive to different playing techniques. Red strings have a darker tonal quality and Blue has a brighter tonality. Available in 4/4 only.

Deep Sound with Plenty of Volume October 18, 2008 Jeff Chandler (Grand Junction, CO) These are great strings. I suppose it all depends on the instrument. I have a single-back, $4000-ish violin. Certainly not a strad, but not a garage-sale model either. The Dominant strings made it really bright, almost obnoxious. I didn't really understand what I didn't like about the violin until I put these strings on. Now, I sound like a pro. The strings are well balanced, especially going from A to E. I can get a variety of tones from the instrument. I especially like the darker tone. All-in-all, I'm really happy with these strings.
Awesome Strings July 6, 2006 Fiona the Fiddler (Houston, Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I play both in an orchestra and as a fiddler and I loved these strings. The first time I got them, I was a lot younger and didnt really notice the difference in strings, but now I realize how good the strings were. The 'a' string that I have on my violin now is a regular Thomastik-infeld, and I hate it! It sounds kind of tinny, but the infeld red and blue strings sounded good, and took very little time to "settle-in." (Even in high-humidity weather)
Great Strings for Student or Professional April 1, 2006 shimmercat3 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These strings are equally at home in an orchestra setting, solo performance or fiddle contest. I have used them in all and they are of excellent quality. The tone is very rich and not at all harsh or shrill. The one negative comment I have is that the G string in my set snapped in less than 2 weeks of use. However, I contacted the company and they were willing to replace it less the cost of shipping (I never got around to sending it back). Overall, these are great strings with loud and powerful tone. The gold E is probably the best sounding E string I have ever played with.
Strings With the Soul of Paganini March 10, 2006 James Spencer Jernigan I bought this set of strings and put them on my violin which is a cheap $45 dollar violin. The violin has never had great tone but when I put these strings on the violin it sounded like a really expenensive violin, and the tone it produced was beutiful. I have changed the strings on my violin many times but these are by far the best brand I have ever put on my violin.
