Amazon.com Review The strongest in the company's line of rodent-irritators, the P3 International P7906 Vibrasonic Molechaser evacuates moles by emitting a penetrating sound that sets the rodents' sensitive hearing on edge. Operating in a circular pattern of 130 feet, the Vibrasonic Molechaser also chases off ground squirrels, shrews, voles, pocket mice, and gophers. It won't harm the rodents or your earthworms or your pets; it won't even harm your lawnmower, because you can bury it flush with the ground. At 1-3/4 inches in diameter and 16 inches long, the anodized aluminum Vibrasonic Molechaser doesn't require an excavation of your garden, and you can replace the four D-cell batteries--approximately once every 4 to 6 months--without digging it up. The device gives off 300 Hz of sound at 8-second intervals and works best in unobstructed, moist clay soil. If soil is dry, sandy, or peat soil, you may need a couple of Molechasers to get rid of moles for good. --Emily Bedard

waste of money October 16, 2008 I have mounds as large as never before and just few feet from those devices. It looks like moles got excited with the "music" produced by molchaser and became more productive. Total waste of money. I have bought 2 from site that gives 60 day trial, will return them asap. Will see how that goes. Shipping costs lost anyways.
Wow! September 9, 2008 This product really works. I tried everything, from poison to water and nothing worked until this. I have no more gophers!
Mole chaser June 30, 2008 The devices arrived swiftly and at a good price. Not sure if they are working as I can't see the voles - only their holes.
Works for me!!! May 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So far this product is working perfectly. I have had it installed for about one month. Under my lawn in Alabama I have packed red clay. I dug a narrow hole and then packed the soil tightly around the unit. The cap on top is one half inch above ground. The mole was active for the first week or two as expected. Since then there has been no sign of any moles. The sound from the unit, which is packed tightly, is very very faint. Update: Have had this unit now for 4 months. No sign of mole. Pack tightly with soil.

I bought 3 of these about 3-4 weeks ago for a large yard that has had moles in it since before we built here 10 years ago. I had bought a cheap mole chaser from a mail catalog 7 years ago that did not work at all, but these have actually worked. No new activity the past week or two. You do have to place the 'buzzing' part in the bottom of the cylinder. the way the motor and battery holder work, you can place it in upside down or right side up. Could be they don't work as well if the buzzer is at the top. Also I placed mine almost 'level' with the ground. They MAY need to be in the soil quite deep to work well. Don't know why they either work well or completely fail unless it has to do with my suggestions above. I'm buying 3 more for my back yard, they are active back there, but not in my front yard anymore. My front yard is about 140' by 100' and I have them them placed in a triangle shape with one by my driveway about 15 feet from the road. One centered in the yard about 15' from my front porch and the third is parallel to the first and about 30 feet from the opposite property line and about 15 feet from the street.
