For tough jobs like lifting linoleum, carpet, adhesive residue, scale, paint, and tape, choose the Fein 63903178017 Rigid Scraper Blade, which can be re-sharpened for longer blade life. This system also includes the efficient Fein 63502106015 HSS Segmented Blade for fiberglass, carbon fiber, 20 gauge sheet metal, and harder woods. Segmented to cut right angles without over cutting, this flat, high-speed steel blade performs straight cutting in harder material, and can cut into corners with right angles. The system also includes one Fein 63502118016 Carbide-Tip Blade for cutting out damaged tile joints and for carving out grooves in plaster, porous concrete and similar construction materials. A Fein 63731001014 Carbide Rasp allows for rough grinding of filler, tile adhesives, concrete, stone, and wood, and may be used with or without the included Fein 92602081010 Dust Extraction Kit.  Works pretty well but very expensive November 17, 2008
Seems well-built. I've used the grout saw, the e-blade, the scraper and the segment blade. The e-blade and scraper were a little disappointing. The grout saw and segment blade worked great. I understand the sander works very well, too, but haven't tried that yet... The replacement blades seem a little over priced which is disappointing. I hope the tool pays for itself. Time will tell.
 Expensive but... November 16, 2008
My review will be just like most reviews of the Fein Multimaster. It's very expensive, the attachments are really expensive, but this tool does the job that other tools don't do. The first week I used it a half a dozen times. It really works, I'm glad I got, I wish the accessories were cheaper.
Amazing November 16, 2008
Does just what they say. I had to straighten a wall where it ended at a closet opening. I was able to cut the nails in about 20 sec, with no damage to the sheetrock where it mattered, as the molding covered it. The wall could then easily be pushed into the correct position and renailed. I was dreading doing this work so tried to hire someone. They were going to charge me $150 dollars and use a sledge. I learned long ago not to skimp on tools as the good ones last a lifetime. This tool is heavy but works so quickly it really doesn't matter.

The Fein Multimaster handles every job with ease and precision. The bit changing process is very easy and holds the tool very solidly. I tried cutting wood, and 1/8 " aluminum , cutting holes for my car speaker sheet metal, and sanding. It does everything well, and cuts through sheet metal much easier than the rotozip or dremel with metal cutting disk.
When cutting sheet metal I've noticed that it doesn't give off that hot spark unlike most metal cutting tools.
It also sands really well when used properly which saves me a ton of time sanding.
It also has more power than I really need. I hardly use the maximum speed setting unless I'm cutting thick wood or metal.
This is a really nice product and it's worth every penny. Everyone should have one of these wether you're a car audio installer like myself, or a hobbyist.

This tool is EXCELLENT BUT it is way overpriced and accessories are way to expensive. Dont get me wrong- I like it but for me personally I find a rotozip to be more useful for tile jobs. It is built solid to take some abuse. Not too heavy and easy to control.
